Looking for some new family holiday traditions this Christmas season? Vulcan Park & Museum invites you to enjoy their 2nd annual Magic of Lights: Vulcan’s Holiday Light Experience beginning this Sunday, December 8th and running each night until December 23rd.

Synchronized Light Show…and More!

At the top of each hour (beginning at 6:00 p.m.), guests will enjoy a 15 minute festive light show choreographed to holiday music. The Anvil (Vulcan’s museum store) as well as the museum will have extended hours until 9:00 p.m. each night.

There will also be complimentary hot chocolate (while supplies last), as well wine and beer available for purchase.

Local Christmas Gifts? Yes, Please!

While you’re there, complete your Christmas shopping list at The Anvil’s red dot sale or purchase Birmingham-themed items from local artisans such as Earthborn Pottery and the Glass Studio.

Opening Night

The event premiere kicks off Sunday, December 8th and will feature a special appearance from Santa V himself! Don’t miss a special performance from the Alabama School of Fine Arts. There will also be reindeer games for the entire family to enjoy.

A New Christmas Tradition

“For decades, people have gathered to share their love of Vulcan, enjoy the breathtaking views, and capture special moments,” Joe Saling, Director of Visitor Experience said. “We want to continue this tradition with our holiday light show and hope this, too, will be enjoyed for years to come.”

Admission is $6.00 for ages 13 and up, $4.00 for ages 5-12, and children 4 and under are free.

We hope to see you there making happy holiday memories with Birmingham’s favorite iron man!
