Mexican and Margaritas

8 more Ideas for a fun moms' night out in Birmingham - Mexican and margaritas are always a hit!
Me with my girlfriends

If you just want to hang out and catch up and relax, plan a dinner out. My girlfriends and I are always down for Mexican, and there are some great options around the area.

Our go-to is Chuy’s at The Summit, but others around the area include also LaPaz (Mountain Brook and Mt. Laurel), Superior Grill on 280 and the newly opened Tostadas in Homewood are also great options. Nothing better than sitting outside in the evening enjoying chips and queso and a beverage.

The Marble Ring

8 more Ideas for a fun moms' night out in Birmingham - The Marble Ring is a fun find!
My husband and me at the Marble Ring

I have only been here once and it was for a wedding, but it was such a cool spot. Tucked away in Avondale, you’d never find it unless you know it was there. You have to enter through the phone booth in Hot Diggity Dogs. Once inside, you take a step back in time to a 1920s speakeasy. If you feel like dressing up as a flapper go for it! Learn more here.

Enjoy a Concert

It’s no secret Birmingham has a great music scene and draws some big names to the Magic City. I actually saw my first concert at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre back in the day (Counting Crows and The Wallflowers). Some of the bands I listened to in my younger years are still making the rounds! Here are some upcoming concerts that you could grab your friends and enjoy a rocking night out

August 17 – Thomas Rhett (Oak Mountain)
October 10 – Andy Grammer (Iron City)
September 4 – Backstreet Boys (BJCC)
November 13 – Jonas Brothers (Legacy Arena)
November 23 – Sister Hazel (Iron City)

Studio Birmingham Create Club

The first Tuesday of each month, Create Club offers morning and evening classes. Get a group together for a night of creativity. Each month will feature a different style of art including calligraphy, pie baking, painting, wreath making, cookie decorating, and watercolor.
