Meet the Staff :: Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry

We partnered with Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry on this post, but we only partner with businesses we like and trust.

It was so fun helping everyone get to know Dr. Jeff Flannery better back in May, and now we get to introduce his amazing staff! One thing we all know as moms is that the dentist you see is important, but the team around him matters just as much. And for our kids? Every single person who interacts with them is vital to a good experience both for the children and for us. Enjoy getting to know these four women who have all been part of Dr. Jeff’s practice since the early days, and rest assured that no one will blame you for crashing one of their office dance parties!

The whole crew!

Madeline

Madeline

Madeline is the office manager, and she has been at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry since the practice opened two years ago. She loves to go to the beach as much as possible, and she’s always planning her next trip! If she’s not planning a beach trip, she’s planning another country concert to attend with girlfriends. She typically spends her lunch break running and working out, things she really enjoys. She loves making healthy recipes at home, but she’s also into the Birmingham restaurant scene and trying everything!

Having worked with so many children, what’s the one piece of advice you would give parents?

“Good manners will take them places!”

What’s your favorite thing about working at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry?

“The precious children. Their pure hearts and sweet spirits are such a blessing to me each day!”

Stephanie

Stephanie

Stephanie has also been at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry since Day 1. She’s been a registered dental hygienist for 22 years, the same amount of time she’s been married to her husband Trey. She’s a mom to seven, five boys and two girls. Her kids range from pre-k to college, so we’re assuming she’s an expert on all the things. Stephanie loves neighborhood block parties, having friends over for dinner, thrift store shopping, and escaping to her family’s farm in Alpine. She also enjoys painting walls, planting flowers, snuggling her kitty, and doing wood projects with her husband… like building furniture!

Having worked with so many children, what’s the one piece of advice you would give parents?

“Don’t underestimate what your child can do or overcome whether they have a seen or unseen, diagnosed or undiagnosed special need. They may just surprise you.”

What’s your favorite thing about working at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry?

“My work girlfriends! We laugh so much together, work well together, help each other out, encourage and just keep it real with one another. Drama free office! They are the BEST!”

Alisa

Alisa

Alisa is also a dental hygienist, and she has been at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry for two years. She loves spending time with her husband Heath and her dog Nash. Her favorite pastimes include attending Auburn football games with family and friends, soaking up time at the lake, taking long evening walks with Nash, getting pedicures, and shopping with her mom. Alisa is from the Oak Mountain area, and she loves working there! And here’s a shoutout to her 5-year-old nephew Zander who is such a joy! His aunt loves him!

Having worked with so many children, what’s the one piece of advice you would give parents?

“Always tell your kids that you love them and that you’re proud of them.”

What’s your favorite thing about working at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry?

“Getting to work with kids and helping them not to be scared of the dentist.”

Hollie

Hollie

Hollie is a dental hygienist and assistant at Oak Mountain Pediatric Dentistry, and she has also been there for two years. She’s been married 14 years, and she has two kids. Jackson is 14, and Emma Kate is 12. Hollie is a soccer mom, a softball mom, a cheer mom, and a dog mom. She has two boxers, Ruger and Remy. Hollie is also a marathon runner and a bodybuilder. Yes, you read that correctly. She’s a bodybuilder!

Having worked with so many children, what’s the one piece of advice you would give parents?

“At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents.”
