Local Ways to Support Hurricane Harvey Victims

I love seeing people in my city come together to give to those in need. I have collected local ways that you can participate in giving to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Get your family together and make a day of collecting goods to give or finding things around your house that you are not using. Please make sure that any used items are gently used or excellent shape when donating.

City Moms Blog Network is partnering with our friends at Ink to the People and the Texas Diaper Bank to benefit the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Collier’s Nursey in Vestavia Hills is accepting donations for Hurricane Harvey relief through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.- noon. All items will be transported to Boutwell Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. The City of Birmingham is collecting items at Boutwell Auditorium (1930 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr Blvd) through Sunday, Sept. 3. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and also at the entrance gates to the UAB football game on Saturday at Legion Field. 

Fleet Feet  now located at Patchwork Farms in Altadena is collecting new or gently used socks and shoes.
