We are so excited to announce our next event… Besties at the Barre at Neighborhood Barre Birmingham on July 13! I don’t know about you, but I tend to work out harder when I have a friend beside me, and I have an instructor teaching me what to do. So bring a friend, or make a new friend while you’re here and enjoy a fun workout!

The motto at Neighborhood Barre Birmingham is “Changing lives one tuck at a time!” Okay full disclosure here, I don’t even know what a tuck is! But I can’t wait to find out and see how it changes my life! You do not have to be a professional dancer to do barre. All you need is some leggings and a little motivation!

We will be doing a traditional barre class – 55 minutes of small, isometric movements that fatigue the muscles until they begin to shake, then we stretch them while they are still warm to elongate the muscles. We do a warmup, arm section, thigh section, seat section, then finish with abs and stretching.

Check in for the event is 6:45-7 pm, then class from 7-8 pm, then champagne and light hor d’oeuvres from 8-8:45 pm. Everyone who attends this event will also receive a mini-swag bag filled with goodies from businesses around town.

When: Thursday, July 13 from 6:45 pm-8:45 pm

Where: Neighborhood Barre Birmingham– 2808 7th Avenue S. #102, Birmingham, Alabama

Cost: $10

Before having kids and co-founding Birmingham Mom Collective, she worked various jobs as a retail manager, merchandise manager, software support associate, and an HR recruiter. When she's not taking care of her two young children, you can find her (sometimes) working out, singing and fellowshipping at her church, playing golf (horribly), drinking sweet tea, and taking trips with her husband, Nathan. She loves all things coffee, Gilmore Girls, Disney World, Dolly Parton, and peanut m&ms!
