Our Summer School Program was established to ensure the success of our cadets. While some cadets attend Summer School in order to rectify unsatisfactory grades [something we call Academic Recovery], a vast majority of students attend Summer School to get ahead on their high school curriculum. We offer a unique chance to gain one full credit in history, math, or English for grades 9-10 of the student’s choice/need. Anyone is welcome to enroll in our Summer School Program. The typical makeup of any given Summer School is 50/50–half returning cadets and half new students. In short, enrollment with the academy during the regular school year is not required in order to gain access to this great opportunity. Everyone is welcome!
Military Leadership Camp
Military Leadership Camp is designed to prepare the upcoming school year’s cadet leadership; however, Leadership Camp is open to any student seeking to learn to hone their personal leadership capabilities. While attending, cadets will study: military bearing, drill and ceremony, rifle marksmanship, orienteering, repelling, survival skills, basic first aid, and attend leadership classes and practicals headed by faculty members who have held a leadership position within the armed forces. Campers will also visit at least one active military base.
Adventure Camp is a two week program ran through Lyman Ward Military Academy which offers students the ability to have fun. Campers will be based on campus, but all major activities will be held off campus.
