Birmingham
I haven’t always had the honor of calling Birmingham my home. I grew up in a small town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My family moved to Montgomery, Alabama, when I was sixteen so that my brother could pursue his football career (at Birmingham-Southern). Montgomery is a special place for me: it’s where I met my husband. We met in high school and have been together ever since. We will be celebrating our four year wedding anniversary this November. As we were looking for colleges together, we fell in love with The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Since I grew up in a small town, I wanted us to continue our journey together in a bigger city. Now we have lived in Birmingham for almost five years and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. The food, music, and people make Birmingham a unique place that celebrates diversity.

Blog
I am very excited to embark in this new adventure as a Birmingham Moms Blog contributor. I have always been interested in blogging but never felt like it was the right time. When this opportunity presented itself, I knew God was giving me a push and saying now is the time.
I am a young mom, so I will be using my platform to encourage and support young moms. Being part Asian and part African American, I intend to write about how I grew up and how it looks different for my son who is mostly raised in an “American” lifestyle. Birmingham, like I said before, is a very diverse place, and I am ecstatic to get the opportunity to embrace and share my diversity with you all!
