Birmingham
I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Roll Tide!) until I moved to Birmingham in 2010 after graduation from The University of Alabama. I was drawn to Birmingham and its “big city” feel after graduation and on the hunt for my first job. After accepting a teaching position at a local child care center, I was an official resident of Birmingham. I met my husband shortly after in 2011, and we married in 2012. I love Birmingham because of all the fun amenities and attractions and local restaurants. There are many different free and affordable opportunities and activities to do with your children on a daily basis.
Moms
I am a mother to my spunky five year old Charlotte and my rough and tough three year old Jacob. I never thought being a mother would be easy, and I was right. However, there is nothing like it in the world. For both of my children to be biologically mine, it’s amazing how different those two little people are. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love being a mother and a wife, but the days can be long. Our family is very appreciative for our church community and group of friends who are in the same stage of life that we are. It’s great to be able to reach out to people and seek advice and wisdom.

I’ve never written on a blog before, so I’m super excited! I’ve been following BMB for some time now, and I have found most of the articles to be very helpful for where we are in life. I would love to be able to contribute my perspective on child care throughout Birmingham and how I’ve worked in child care and always had my children with me while at work. It’s definitely had its challenges, but it has benefited me in every way.
