Are you in need of some fun ideas to make Valentine’s Day extra memorable for your kids? Here are a few ideas that everyone is sure to enjoy.

1. Get crafty.

Making Valentine’s Day crafts with your kids can certainly be a lot of fun!  It can also be super time-consuming and stressful. I’ve added a few here that I believe will fall out more on the fun side and not leave you hash tagging “PinterestFail”. This is a fun quick craft, and it can be made even quicker by using colored plates instead of painting. If you’re looking for something a little more detailed to quench that artsy thirst, try this heart catcher. It’s sure to be a favorite! And windsocks are always beautiful to admire and typically will last a bit longer. You can also take a look here for a few more ideas that are super adorbs.

2. Have a photo shoot.

A simple heart backdrop or a string of cut-out hearts will make the most festive scenery to shoot your adorable Valentines babaloo in no time. Cut out some red and pink hearts and stick them to a white or brown piece of paper and voila! You’re set to go! Check out these ideas

3. Give their clothes a little extra pizazz.

I am loving these felt cut out hearts to stick around buttons, and these heart elbow patches (no sew!).

4. Pamper yourselves with mini manis.

Doll up your little one’s nails simply by drawing tiny hearts using a cute nail pen

5. Make some creative, unforgettable meals.

Family traditions start early! Holiday meals are a perfect time to start those traditions and give your children something they will remember for a lifetime! I’ve picked out a few yummy recipes that should make mouths water and tiny hearts happy, while keeping a stress-free smile on your face.

Delicious french toast will be a treat for the whole family in the morning. Adorn with heart shaped strawberries. Need an easier idea? Make heart shaped toast and spread on some strawberry or raspberry jam.

For mid-day, try some adorable lunch box ideas. These cute heart shaped sandwichs and other lunch ideas are also sure to be a hit. You can add sweet lunchbox notes to make it extra special.

A berry yummy smoothie would be a delectable after-school treat!

For dinner, heart-shaped meatloaf and pink mashed potatoes would lend an interesting flare, while offering some light hearted laughter. Heart shaped quesadillas could also be fun! Add a small plastic cup of sparkling grape juice and you’ve created a fancy affair!

6. Create a special dessert.

I’m dying to try these cherry cream cheese hand pies. But if you’re looking for something a bit easier, check out these 4-ingredient strawberry white chocolate chip cookies. Either way, I’m confidant your kids are going to hug you and beg you to let them have just one more bite.

7. Make Valentine’s Day decorations together.

These are sure to bring back special memories as you pull them out each year.  Make life simple and cut out hearts and tape or glue them to some string to hang from the ceilings or walls. You can also make paper heart chains if you like.

8. Extend the love.

Make a few extra treats and Valentine’s Day cards to take to an elderly neighbor or friend who may not have any one else with whom to celebrate the holiday.

9. Enjoy a family movie night.

A few love-themed movies your kids are sure to enjoy are Ever After, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, Enchanted, and Wall-E. Mickey and Minnie’s Sweetheart Stories is always a favorite classic!
