Birmingham Moms Blog :: Introducing Erin

1

Hey, friend!  My name is Erin, and I am a proud Bama girl. Born and raised in the sleepy town of Oxford, AL, I relocated to Birmingham to raise my family after falling in love with this incredible city during college at Samford University.

Birmingham

Could this city be any more fun?  The perfect combo of a bigger city feel mixed with suburban family dreams, Birmingham is quickly becoming the “place to be.” After growing up in a small town somewhat affectionately referred to as the “gas station stop” smack dab between two big cities (Birmingham and Atlanta), it tickles me that I get to call this place home (since 2010) and do not have to drive an hour just to get to the zoo these days!  With everything from museums, shopping, world-class dining, entertainment, and now a thriving downtown scene, our city is going places, y’all! And how exciting that we are all along for the ride . . .

Moms

I am a wife, daughter, friend, writer, speaker, and attorney. But, my favorite title is Mommy. My days have quickly shifted from fancy boardrooms to boo-boo-kissing, lunchbox-packing, and sweatpants-wearing realness. I am Mommy to my two precious girls: Bellalise (5) – a sweet, gentle-natured soul – and Annalise (4, going on 40) – the life of every party. I met my hubby in law school and brought that Cajun boy right back to the Heart of Dixie . . . home sweet home. We live in Hoover, where our dining room is currently being used for laundry overflow.

While my babies nap, (ha! rest somewhat quietly these days . . .), I make time to manage my dreams: writing, speaking, and encouraging other moms all over the world. These moments with our little ones are so precious. So, I find myself soaking all of them up, and making them count.

Blog

I am thrilled for the opportunity to share some love with the incredible Birmingham Moms Blog Community!  I believe that all moms, no matter our individual stories, are amazing and I love to see each of us pursuing our passions, whether those reside in a Mommy and Me Zumba class or the center of a boardroom in a pair of killer stilettos.

When I am not attending toddler tea parties, drafting legal briefs, or wiping up spaghetti stains, you can find me loving on readers here or on my personal blog here. I welcome all moms to find a community of love and acceptance where I share recipes, crafts, and most of all, encouragement on this journey of Mom Life. I am currently finishing up my first book with a message speaking directly to the hearts of moms, scheduled to release in Fall 2018!

As a contributor to Birmingham Moms Blog, you can bet your bottom dollar you will find #realtalk in my posts coupled with a big dose of grace, a dash of humor, and wrapped up in love. This Mommy life is not for the faint of heart, but oh, what an incredible ride! I so look forward to getting to know you better and would love to connect on social media: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.  Thank you so much for reading and hope to chat again soon!
