Birmingham
I’ve lived in Birmingham since 2004. I originally lived in Cahaba Heights and bounced around the city, living in parts of Vestavia Hills, Hoover, Downtown Birmingham, and Meadowbrook. I’ve lived in many states, but nothing feels more like home than Birmingham!
Our beautiful city has grown a lot since I first arrived in 2004, and the changes we’ve made have just made Birmingham more amazing! We are so fortunate to live in such a family-friendly city; we have so many events and activities all around town that are either free or low-cost to families, which is something many cities and states don’t offer! And let’s not forget, the food! Nothing beats Birmingham when it comes to delicious and kid-friendly restaurants. (Steel City Pops, anyone?)
Moms
I am mother to a precious (and rambunctious) four-year-old little boy named Quinn. Although I had always wanted a son, and was very fortunate to get a boy on my first try, my husband and I are very excited to experience life with a little girl (though Quinn has different thoughts about having a sister)! Our little baby girl is due August 1st, and we can’t wait to see what joy she will bring to all our lives.
Motherhood has given me so much strength and the ability to hope and have faith in the things that I don’t understand. It’s truly been a blessing. Of course, there are two sides to every coin and along with my strength, hope, and faith, comes doubt, insecurity, and fear. The true challenge in motherhood is finding that balance, and becoming flexible with how I expect certain parts of my life to play out.
Blog
I’ve been following BMB for about a year now, and I always love the content they produce — so many different women offering a perspective on womanhood and motherhood that is real and raw and inspiring! Many articles that BMB has shared have left a personal impact on me, and I’m hoping to be able to inspire and impact others with what I write.
The lifestyle that I lead tends to garner a lot of questions, and I’m really looking forward to being able to offer a different perspective on living consciously while also being a wife/mother. Some of the topics I’m looking forward to being able to write for y’all are: health and fitness for the whole family (and debunking some nutrition myths), transitioning to a zero-waste lifestyle, how to declutter your home and keep it that way, and helping your family budget to get the most out of each paycheck! I hope y’all have as much fun reading my blogs as I will have writing them for y’all!
Cannot wait to read more! Thank you for sharing Brittany!
Excited to see more blogs by you.
