{You’re Invited} Bloom : An Event for New and Expecting Moms in Birmingham

0

Birmingham Moms Blog is thrilled to announce that we are bringing Bloom to our city! We are linking arms with the City Moms Blog Network {our parent site} as well as 50 other Sister Sites across the nation to celebrate moms as they enter into motherhood for the first, second, third, or more time!

This exclusive event is geared towards moms {and dads!} who are planning to grow their family, currently expecting, in their first year of motherhood, or fostering/adopting little ones. This year, we will be holding the event at the beautiful UAB Women & Infants Center to provide an evening of pampering, delicious food, informational resources, and of course — plenty of swag and giveaways, too.

We’re excited to announce that Ashley Matteo Photography will be at the event to capture all of the special moments!

To stay up to date on all of the details of Bloom, we encourage you to officially join the Facebook event page, share with any new and expecting moms you may know, and get ready for a wonderful evening celebrating motherhood.

WHEN & WHERE

Bloom will be held on Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the UAB Women and Infants Center {1700 6th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233, 5th Floor, Physician’s conference room (WIC 5324)}.

NURSING ROOM

Our partners at Children’s of Alabama are sponsoring a room for nursing mothers (or those of us who just like a little quiet when we whip out a bottle). This will be a calm, quiet space for those who need it, and there will even be extra refreshments because you deserve them! Babies one year and under who can be worn are absolutely invited to Bloom with their mamas, and Children’s of Alabama is making it even easier for that to happen!

FOOD

Dinner will be provided by Vecchia Pizzaria and Mercato, Birmingham’s only authentic Italian Neapolitan pizza. The menu includes Homemade Bruschetta and Herbed Crostini, Caprese Salad with Fresh Basil, Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Chips, Assorted Italian Wraps, Pasta Marinara with Homemade Meatballs, Pasta Alfredo with Oven Roasted Chicken, and White Chocolate Bread Pudding.

TICKETS

Ticket price includes access to EVERYTHING we have planned for this event, and as always, moms, dads, and grandparents are all welcome to attend! Due to the nature of the event, tickets will be *extremely limited* and available on a first come, first served basis only. Born at St. Vincents, Julie has lived in Birmingham nearly all her life, and she looks forward to meeting and connecting moms all over our community. Before having kids and co-founding Birmingham Mom Collective, she worked various jobs as a retail manager, merchandise manager, software support associate, and an HR recruiter.
